• History of qurban;
If we look into history, we will find this sacrificial animal slaughter from the time of Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad SAW, but what is told in the Qur'an are only three stories of the Prophet relating to qurban, namely Prophet Adam, Prophet Ibrahim As and at the time of the Prophet Muhammad whereas other prophets can only be found in Israiliyat's history, which has been distorted by Jews and Christians, to the end of the story.
And all the stories of the apostles, we tell you (Muhammad), so that with that story we strengthen your heart; and in it has been given to you (all) truth, advice (lessons) and warnings for those who believe. (QS Hûd: 120)
First in the time of Prophet Adam A.s.
the story of the sacrifice began when Allah, forbid Prophet Adam to marry his son with his twin brother, God forbid when he married a woman to her twin brother. So the Prophet Adam ordered his son, Qabil, to marry sister Sis Abel, and Abel married the sister of twin Qabil, but the order was not ordered by Qabil, he refused to marry the sister of Kembaran Habil, and still wanted to marry his own sister, for reasons more beautiful, for the incident the Prophet Adam complained to God, so that Allah gave a clue to the problems that happened to him, then through the prophet Adam, Allah commanded his two children to sacrifice, who received the sacrifice, that was the husband for Iklima, twin sister of Qabil.
Then Qurban was carried out by his sons named Qabil and Habil. Qabil was a farmer, he issued his sacrifice from his agricultural produce, he chose the ugly fruits to be sacrificed to Allah, while Habil was a breeder, removing his pet to sacrifice, chosen fat and healthy animals, and he obeyed the instructions his father Prophet Adam.
When both of them carried out the sacrifice, it turned out that what Allah received was a sacrifice issued by Abel, while the fruits issued by Qabil remained intact, not reduced. This is explained by Allah in the Qur'an Al-Maidah verse 27

"Tell them the story of the two sons of Adam (Abel and Qabil) according to the truth, when both offered sacrifices, then received from one of them both (Abel) and not received from the other (Qabil), He said:" I must kill you "Say Abel" Surely Allah only accepts (sacrifices) from those who fear ".
Sacrifice of Abel was received by Allah SWT because he spent part of his good wealth sincerely and sincerely. While Qabil issued some bad and forced assets. Because sacrifice is not acceptable to God. Finally, Qabil held a grudge against Abel. Starting from the struggle for prospective wives, where the rules at that time with a cross-breeding system.
Secondly, at the time of Prophet Ibrahim As.
In the book "Misykatul Anwar" it is stated that it is said that Prophet Ibrahim was a very rich animal shepherd, had a wealth of 1000 sheep, 300 oxen, and 100 camels. Another history says, the wealth of Prophet Ibrahim reached 12,000 head of cattle. An amount according to the people in his day was classified as a milliuner. one day, Ibrahim was asked by someone "who is this much cattle?" he answered: "Belongs to Allah, but now it is still mine. At any time if God wants, I leave it all up. Let alone only livestock, if God asks for my beloved child, I will surely surrender too. "
Ibn Kathir in the interpretation of Al-Qur'anul 'adzim argued that, the statement of the Prophet Ibrahim was then used as a test material by Allah in testing the Prophet Abraham's Faith and Taqwa, a short story after the Prophet Ibrahim visited his wife siti Hajar and his son Ismail , which was left in the barren land again blessed by God, namely Makkah Almukarramah, Prophet Ibrahim was so happy when he met again with his family, he was surprised that absurdly, barren land, has now turned fertile, formerly there were no inhabitants, now turned crowded , Allah has granted the prayer of the Prophet Ibrahim that Allah captured in the Qur'an,

O our Lord, verily I have placed a portion of my descendants in a valley that has no plants near the house of You (the Temple) that is honored, O our Lord (that is) so that they establish prayer, so make the hearts of some people tend to them and give blessings they are from fruits, hopefully they will be grateful. (QS. Ibrahim / 37 (
But the happiness of the Prophet Ibrahim did not last long, after a long time he settled in Mecca, Prophet Ibrahim experienced a very great dream, in that dream, Prophet Ibrahim received an order from Allah SWT to slaughter his favorite son Ismail. Ismail was the only son of the puppet of Prophet Ibrahim from his marriage to his second wife named siti hajar, the anxiety of Prophet Ibrahim was so great, whether the dream was true from Allah, or not, and more surprised again, Prophet Ibrahim experienced these dreams in a row ;
After Ibrahim's prophet was convinced of his dream, Prophet Ibrahim tried to ask his son Ismail about the dream, this conversation between father and son was perpetuated by Allah in the Qur'an Surah As-Shoffat 102;
Meaning: Ibrahim said: "My child, I actually saw in a dream that I slaughtered you" then think what do you think? Ismail replied: O my father, do what you are told. God willing, you will find me, including a patient person. "(QS As-saffat: 102)
When both are ready to carry out God's commands. The devil comes teasing the father, the mother and the child take turns. But Prophet Ibrahim, Siti Hajar and Prophet Ismail were not swayed by the temptation to seduce the devil to cancel his intention. They even threw demons with stones. After reaching somewhere, in a calm state Ismail said to his father: "Ayahda, tie my feet and hands so that I cannot move freely, Face my face to the ground, so as not to see it, Take off my shirt so that it is not exposed blood which will cause sad memories. Sharpen the sharpness of the father's knife, so that the slaughter runs short, because the sakaratul is terrible. Give my clothes to my mother for a memento and convey my greetings to her so that she will remain patient, so that I will be protected by Allah SWT, Prophet Ibrahim replied "Okay my child, may Allah Almighty will help you".
After Ishmael, his beloved son was stretched out on a rock, and the knife was placed on his neck, Ibrahim slaughtered by pressing the knife firmly, but what was said to be a very sharp knife was not able to cut Ismail's neck at that time,

At that time Allah SWT ordered Gabriel to take a qibasy from heaven instead. God has blessed the father and son to give up their fear. In return for their sincerity, Allah suffices by slaughtering a goat as a victim, as explained in the Qur'an as As-Shaffat verses 103-107;

"When both of them surrendered and Abraham laid his son on his temple, (the patience of both of you confirmed the dream, indeed We gave back to those who did good." Truly this is a real test. And We redeem the child with a great sacrifice. "
And third, in the Age of the Prophet Muhammad.
During the time of the Prophet Muhammad, the qurban was ordered back in the letter of Al-Kautsar: 1-3: "Indeed, We have given you many blessings, then establish prayer for your Lord and sacrifice. Surely those who hate you are the ones who are cut off (from Allah's favor). This letter of Al-Kautsar is then used as a legal basis for the people of the Prophet Muhammad to sacrifice for those who are able.
And for each of the Ummah We have given the slaughter (qurban), so that they will mention the name of Allah to the livestock that Allah has given them, then your Lord is the Almighty God, so surrender you to Him. and give good news to those who submit obediently (to Allah). "(Al Hajj: 34);

From the 3 stories above, we can understand that berqurban is a syiar that has existed since the generation of the first human being, the prophet Adam, then this qurban activity is also the amaliyah of Prophet Ibrahim aih alaihissalam. And even then it was known from here that the source of the Shari'a Qurban came from the people of the Prophet Muhammad Shalallahu'alaihi Wasallam. As he explained when asked by one of his friends, "O Messenger of Allah, what is a Sacrifice?" He replied: "Qurban is the sunnah of your father, Prophet Ibrahim." (Narrated by Ahmad);
Then this syiar of sacrifice Allah calls in Surah Al-Kautsar verses 1 and 2 which later becomes the basis of Allah's command to the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad to perform qurban worship, Surely we have given you many delights. So establish prayer because of your God, and sacrifice. "
Sacrifice is one sign of gratitude to Allah SWT who has bestowed upon us rizki. And one form of gratitude is to spend a little of our wealth to slaughter animals with qurban, and share them with the poor, and the people around us,
In a Hadith which is sourced from Ayesha, the Prophet said:
From ‘Aisha that the Prophet sallallaahu‘ alaihi wasallam said: "There is no practice carried out by the son of Adam on the day of Nahr (Eid al-Adhha) which is more loved by Allah than pouring blood (sacrificial animals). For surely he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his horns, fur, and nails. And really, the blood will come to (pleased) Allah before the drops of blood fall to earth, then cleanse your soul by sacrificing. "(HR. Turmudzi);
In another phrase, the Prophet rebuked them who were able, but did not want to sacrifice,
From Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:" Whoever has the power (to sacrifice) but does not sacrifice, then do not approach the place of our prayer. "(HR. Ibn Majah);
Even if the price of cigarettes per / pack of Rp. 12,000, which is consumed every day / 1 pack, so if multiplied by 30 days, you will save Rp. 360,000, then if at times 12 months or a year, you will save money of 4,320,000, - if the price of goats / tails is 2,000,000, - that means we can sacrifice 2 goats in that year, O my brother, still we say that we have not been able to sacrifice, still we do not care about the qurban because the law is the sunnah of Muakkadah, are we going to wait for the rich, new to sacrifice, only we know the answers of each,
Even if we are not able to sacrifice once a year, then intend ourselves to sacrifice 2 years 1 time, if not able, then intend 5 years 1 time, if it is also not capable then intend for a lifetime, if not able, then the word dangdut singer H. Roma Rhythm, too ...
Attendees who are blessed by Allah,
Let's earth worship qurban, we encourage our society, our children so that they long for qurban worship, as our society longs for the Hajj, longs for Umrah, because the worship of qurban is also included in broadcasting the religion of Allah,
And We have made the camels part of you from the shi'ar of Allah, you have benefited a lot from him, so call upon you the name of Allah when you slaughter him in a standing (and bound) state. Then if it has fallen (dead), then eat the portion and feed the person who is willing to what is in him (who is not begging) and the person who asks. Thus We have subdued the camels to you, hopefully you will be grateful. (QS. Al Hajj 36).
Allah SWT commands Muslims to glorify the syi'ar-syi'ar of the religion of Allah. He SWT said:
Thus (God's command). And whoever glorifies the syi'ar-syi'ar of Allah, then indeed it arises from the piety of the heart.
Before I closed, this sermon, the preacher wanted to tell a hadith that told of the interaction between Siti Aisyah R.A, and the Prophet when performing qurban,
One day the Messenger of Allah sacrificed with his companions, and after the qurban was finished, the Prophet told Ayesha to divide the qurban meat belonging to the Prophet to the poor who were around the city of Medina, after Aisyah finished her duty, the Apostle asked Aiysah, بَقِيَ مِنْهَا مَا whether nobody you leave O 'Ayesha, then Ayesha answered ََََََُِإِإََََِِِِِّْ َََ Rasul Rasul Rasul Rasul Rasul Rasulullah, there were no remnants, all of them were shared except those that remained were her shoulders, then the apostle told Ayesha, ََََُُِِ غَََََْ yang everything you have shared with the poor and our neighboring neighbors, that is what remains for us O 'Ayesha, as for the remaining shoulder parts for us, that will disappear with us;
Attendees blessed by God;
Sacrifice seems to receive less attention and we are less aware, we need to reflect on it and live more deeply, so that the feeling of sharing and giving through Sacrifice, must continue to be a Muslim culture embedded in our fellow human beings, because in reality , giving is issuing, but in essence giving is receiving,
